The V&A Museum has a large collection of traditional and contemporary designs, which is very helpful for my research direction. I can further understand how artists integrate tradition into contemporary works through design.

 

In addition, the combination of two different styles has been reflected in the work long ago. At the time, the differences in the times were not obvious, but craftsmen from all over the world absorbed foreign cultures. For instance, many European style tea sets are made of Chinese blue and white porcelain or the pattern on the blue and white porcelain includes some European traditional patterns with some sort of design innovation.

There are many ancient traditional ethnic figure tapestries from India or East Asia in the V&A Museum, which has greatly helped me to study the traditional art pattern form.
