The preparations for the entire exhibition are very well prepared. From pre-preparation, poster design to post-distribution, group crit. Everyone has the greatest potential in his work in a limited space. Especially, I really like the posters of this exhibition, as well as the sketches of the artists in the brochures. They are very interesting.

The picture on the left is my sketch.

Everyone at this exhibition showed a very high level and personal characteristics. I am very interested in some of the installations. For example, Adam's work, Adam's work is very mature and the logic is very clear. In the works, I can feel the complexity of the work level and the artist's deep thinking about the work, and the matching of the installation is also very harmonious. Most importantly, there will be a form of exploration in his works, such as symmetrical forms and patterns or some repetitive patterns. The combination of different bright colors also reflects the artist's personal preferences, the artist's points in the painting process is very similar to my thinking in the process of painting. This can help me expand the depth of my thinking.

In group crit, tutor mentioned that my work can be more flexible and bold in the use of materials. For example, the symmetrical image of the ‘dog man’ that is prominent in the middle of the work, I used acrylic, seems to be weak and the details are not good enough. Tutor suggested that I can use a marker to perform like other places. In fact, I hope that the picture can be used to create a rhythmic and relaxed atmosphere, and I hope that the picture will be more casual. If a picture is very clear in every place, it will be overdo and stupid. But I will use different materials to reflect the rhythm of the picture. This will be more clear in future works.

I will pay attention to the relationship between the work and the space in the next work, and may use different materials such as wood boards and picture frames to stitch the pieces. It is more daring in terms of the effect and form of the work and even the painting method, but at the same time does not deviate from the reference to the traditional pattern form. Maybe I will be bolder in the control of the rhythm of the picture.
