Artist Statement 1

I like natural and pure things. I think that everything will return to the most original place in the end, art is the same. I think art is like people climbing a mountain, we starting from ‘zero’ and climb to top, then returning to ‘zero’, but this ‘zero’ and the beginning of the starting ‘zero’ is not the same, the second ‘zero’ includes the professional and complex professional skills and the pure and natural thing of the starting ‘zero’, and adding my own style. It is the real art. So I like to express complex and deeper things of my own ideas in a simple, pure way. I would like to recreate my imagine or some interesting things and combine some positive ideas and beautiful things in my work. For example, my previous works include anti-war, environmental protection, and humanity something like that. Because I think that the function and value of art or the highest state of art is to convey some beautiful things. It is like religion or music, the meaning of existence is bring hope and ardor to people, make people love life more.

 

In the next work, I will continue the core idea of passing good things, I will start with the small details I experienced personally. For example, what happens every day, how you feel every day, how you feel about things you have experienced. No longer talk about profound topics in an empty way, because some topics have not been personally experienced.In addition, I am also good at using different materials to add a pure sense of the picture, not necessarily trying a lot of materials, but hope to find out the most suitable for the needs of the picture through continuous exploration.Recently, I am very interested in some traditional patterns. For example, like Chinese paper-cutting, some symmetrical patterns make me feel like people's lives are constantly circulating. These patterns seem to show a person's life, let me feel very avant-garde and mysterious. Expressing complex things in a simple way is exactly what I am pursuing. These can enhance my creativity. My painting style influence by Yayoi Kusama, Jean-Michel Basquiat and so on, or some Realism films.Their pictures are very pure and have strong personal style. I hope through the art works I like and my personal experience to enrich my knowledge and expand my outlook in the future to find my own style.
